Dr. Michelle A. Broderick received her undergraduate training and a bachelor's degree in biology from Dartmouth College (Hanover, New Hampshire) in 1986 and her graduate studies at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where she earned her optometry degree in 1990.
She did the following internships: Pediatrics at the Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Ocular Disease at the OMNI Eye Center in Warwick, Rhode Island and General Practice and Vision Training with Dr. Larry W. Ritter in Westbrook, Maine.
Dr. Broderick began her career as an associate at Dr. Littlefield's office in 1990 and on July 6, 1994 joined the practice as a partner.
She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Maine Optometric Association , the Optometric Extension Program, and a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
In 1994 she received the Initial Optometric Recognition Award for completing 150 hours of continuing education over a consecutive three year period. Dr. Broderick was praised for this award as only 2,000 of the 27,000 practicing optometrists in this country have received the Initial Award.
Dr. Broderick has served on the Maine Optometric Association Board on both the Continuing Education Committee and the Children's Vision Committee. Also, she is the American Optometric Association Infant See Leader for the state of Maine. Dr. Broderick also enjoys providing Vision Therapy and is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
