Do you offer Emergency Eye Care?
In the event that you or a family member suffer an eye emergency after the office has closed, please telephone the office and a recorded message will direct you as to how to receive the needed care.

What fee structure does the practice maintain.
The doctors' professional fees are fair and competitive with other eye care services in the community. They accept assignment from CIGNA, ANTHEM B/C, B/S of Maine, CHAMPUS/TRICARE, HARVARD PILGRIM, MACHIGONNE, MARTIN'S POINT and VSP. They also accept Medicare and Mainecare/Primecare assignment and will assist you in receiving reimbursement from your insurance carrier if your coverage includes vision care.

Check with your insurance policy first before scheduling an eye examination to verify if a referral is needed from your primary care physician. The office bills for doctor visits only, not materials such as eyeglasses or contact lenses. A receipt will be submitted for reimbursement from your insurance carrier.

In addition, the office accepts VISA®, Mastercard® American Express and Discover for your added convenience. Senior citizens receive a 10% discount on all eyewear.

Why should I need a second pair of eyeglasses?

1. Eyeglasses with special lenses to work on the computer.
2. Eyeglasses with safety lenses to work around the yard or on your car.
3. Eyeglasses with special lenses to play sports such as golf.
4. Back-up eyeglasses should I loose my first pair.
5. As a fashion statement: a unique pair to wear for dressy occasions/everyday.

I sometimes see specks in front of my eyes. Is this anything serious?
These specks, or floaters, are usually harmless and are seen by most of us from time to time, but it is a good idea to have them checked out by your eye care provider to be certain they aren't suggestive of a more serious condition.

Is laser vision correction a safe procedure?
This is a good topic to discuss with your eye care provider. He or she can explain the procedures as well as any safety concerns.

From the South: Take the Maine Turnpike to Exit 9 (Coastal Route 1). Continue on 95 to Exit 28 (Topsham-Brunswick, Route 24) to business district and turn right on Maine Street. Office is on the right hand side, number 82.

From the North: Take the Maine Turnpike; take Exit 14 – Exit 22 and follow the above directions.

From the South: Take the Maine Turnpike to Exit 9 (Coastal Route 1). Continue on 95 to Exit 22– toward Freeport. Take a slight right onto Mallet Drive and then a right at the traffic light onto Main Street (US 1). Turn left onto Bow Street and then turn right onto Depot Street. The office is #5, Suite 14 and is just before Mr. Bagel.

From the North: From the Maine Turnpike, take Exit 20 – towards Freeport. Follow the above directions.
